JOMIS ACQUISITION SUPPORT
CHALLENGE
As an integral member of a high-level advisory team providing advice and assistance to the Program Manager, charged with developing overarching strategies for program, acquisition planning and contracting initiatives. This was needed in an environment aimed at transforming the JOMIS PMO from an old-style software acquisition approach to one based on Development Security Operations and Agile frameworks.
ACTION
SERVICES PROVIDED
In less than two years, ZYGOS assisted with and oftentimes led efforts to re-define the program’s acquisition strategy, to include multiple iterations of review with the acquisition chain of command and the very large operational medicine stakeholder community.
In addition, ZYGOS led efforts to use alternate contractual vehicles for finding solutions to rapid development/prototyping, and deployment challenges. On the forefront of using the most recent guidance from DoD to utilize the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, the ZYGOS team provided approaches and methodologies that other DoD programs can emulate.
